Ora Tjelmeland, 75, died Sunday
NEVADA -- A resident of Nevada for the past 10 years, Mrs. Ora Tjelmeland, 1611 8th St., died Sunday morning in McCallsburg of an apparent heart attack. She was 75.
Her funeral will be held from Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg on Wednesday, June 4 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Orris H. Haraldson officiating. Burial will be in the McCallsburg Cemetery.
Born February 1, 1900 in Hamilton County, she was the daughter of Tom and Anna Anfinson. She had been a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg and also a member of Ladies Aid.
Mrs. Tjelmeland is survived by five sons, Harland and Myron, both of McCallsburg, Clifford of Fairgbank, Iowa, Kenneth of Augusta, Maine and Lester of Yorbalina, Calif.; two daughter Mrs. Bill (Ione) Myers of Clarinda and Mrs. William (Beverly) Shalley of Nevada; 27 grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Tjelmeland of Story City, Mrs. Frank (Theresa) Huston of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was preceded n death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, one son, one daughter, one grandson and her husband, Martin W. Tjelmeland, who died in 1956.
Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada until 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.
