DEATHS
MARVIN JOHNSTON
Relatives in Zearing IA have received word of the death of Marvin Johnson, 102 He died at his home in St. Petersburg FL on Sunday, Nov. 29.
Mr. Johnston was born July 5, 1885, to Francis and Jane Johnston on a farm about two miles east of Zearing, owned by a nephew, Dale Johnston. He attended country schools and farmed for a few years in the Zearing area. Later he went to Minnesota to farm until he retired to St. Petersburg.
He had one daughters, Eleanor Johnston of St. Petersburg, who survives; a nephew, Dale, and niece, Mildred Good, both of Zearing. Dale and his wife spent some time last February in visiting his uncle in Florida. Over the century mark even at that time, Mr. Johnston had a clear mind. Relatives at Zearing also talked with him by phone on his July birthday.
