Committal for Wm. Andrew Scott In Nevada Cemetery

Committal service for the late William Andrew Scott who passed away Friday, April 11 at the home of his nephew, Leo Bowen at Estherville, was held in the Nevada cemetery Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Hugh Guy officiating.

The body was accompanied to Nevada by his sister and nephews from Estherville and met here by friends.

Mr. Scott was born April 1, 1870, a son of Andrew William and Margaret Womack Scott. He leaves his sister, Mrs. Mamie Bowen of Estherville, two brothers, Thomas Emmet Scott and Melvin Scott and a sister Ellzana Scott, preceded him in death. He was never married.

Mr. Scott, who formerly lived northeast of Nevada, had moved to Dows in 1912 where he owned and operated a farm until a year and half ago when he moved to Esthervile to be with his sister, Mrs. Bowen.

Besides his sister he leaves his nephews, Leo, Roy and Clarence Bowen and Earl Scott, all of Estherville.
