Obituary from Memorial Services of Iowa, Ankeny, Polk County, Iowa:

Arloween "Lynn" Lovering, 81, of Ankeny passed away July 9, 2019.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N Ankeny Blvd). A visitation will be held 1 to 3:00 p.m., prior to the funeral.

Lynn was born December 22, 1937 in Long Beach, California. As a child, her family moved to Humboldt, Iowa, where she grew up. After graduating from high school, Lynn went to Iowa Methodist School of Nursing where she earned a nursing degree. She later went on to Drake University where she earned a master's degree.

She married Wayne Rimathe December 27, 1959, and the couple made their home in Slater, Iowa where they raised their 5 children.

Lynn worked as a nurse at the Slater office with Dr. Severson and Dr. Kruse for many years. She also worked as a nurse at Firestone and John Deere before going to work at Iowa Methodist for over 20 years in the Powell III Center until her retirement.

Later in her life, she was married to Duane Robus for over 20 years.

She enjoyed theater, attending and participating in plays at the Des Moines Playhouse, playing games, playing cards, watching Shark Tank, watching movies, the Chicago Cubs, and traveling.
She is survived by her children; Dianne (Sharm) Wenndt, Lisa Rimathe, Steven (Doris) Rimathe, David (Holly) Rimathe, Kristin (Doug) Newstrom; 14 grandchildren, Matthew (Tiffany) Fatka, Michelle Capouch, Lindsey (Joe) Stewart, Rachel (Bob) White, Michael Rimathe, Rebecca Rimathe, Hunter Rimathe, Colton Rimathe, Nicholas Newstrom, Lauren Newstrom, William Newstrom, Natalie Newstrom, Samuel Newstrom, and Maxwell Newstrom; 7 great-grandchildren, Paige Capouch, Blakely Fatka, Brecken Fatka, Tenley Stewart, Korver Stewart, Hayden Lou Stewart, and Briar Jaymes Stewart; one brother, Arthur (Martha) Lovering, and many friends.
