FUNERAL OF R. O. MOWRY.
Was Held at the Christian Church at Maxwell.

Maxwell, May 10--The funeral of R. O. Mowry whose death occurred at his home in Des Moines, Tuesday morning, May 7 was held from the Christian church Thursday afternoon at 2:30, the services being conducted by Dean Haggard, of Drake university. A large company of friends and relatives gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to the deceased and to show their heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved ones. Interment was made in the Maxwell cemetery. The deceased had been ill for three weeks and his death was not unexpected but came as a great sorrow to a host of friends. He was married to Miss Phoebe Cole, of this place, a few years ago and lived here until about a year ago when they moved to Des Moines, where his death occurred. He will be greatly missed in the business and social life as he was one highly respected by all who came in contact with him. He leaves to mourn their loss, a wife an little daughter* aged sixteen months, two brothers and one sister, besides other relatives and many friends.*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The daughter of Ruell Oman Mowry and Phoebe Secretus Cole was Margaret Cole Mowry born 29 December 1910 in Indian Creek Township, Story County, Iowa.
