LAST RITES TODAY FOR MRS. C. H. BRYANT
HAD BEEN RESIDENT OF STORY COUNTY FOR OVER FORTY YEARS.
Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Bryant, widow of the late Charles H. Bryant, died at her home corner Eighth and Avenue J, Friday evening at about 10 o'clock and the funeral services were held at Memorial Lutheran church, this city, this afternoon at two o'clock. The services were in charge of Rev. Helms of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Funeral and interment was in the Colo cemetery, by the side of her husband who died a few years ago.
Mrs. Bryant has been a sufferer from heart trouble and other complications and had been failing rapidly for the last week before her death.
Born in Iowa August 16, 1867, she has lived in this state all of her life. She came to Story county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Teinan in the early 80's and it was in this county that she married Charles Bryant, a young farmer of the neighborhood.
Her husband died a year or so ago and her aged mother died April 9, last. She leaves two sons, four daughters, her aged father and two sisters. The sisters are Mrs. J. E. Kelley of Swea City and Mrs. Ellen Doble of Minneapolis.
After the death of her husband she moved to Nevada where her parents lived with her. The mother died here and the father had been spending his time with the daughter at Swea City during the past few weeks.
Two sons are Ray L. Bryant, a practicing attorney of Marshalltown, and Fred Bryant of Colo, while the daughters are Mrs. Charles McCoy of Swea City and Mrs. Ed Bannenberger [sic], Mrs. Eva Anderson and Mrs. Ben Wengert of Colo neighborhood.
