HOLLIS HANSON
Funeral services for Hollis Hanson, 72, of Mingo, a longtime farmer who resided west of Baxter, were held Monday, Feb. 6, at the Ashton Chapel west of Baxter.
The Rev. Neville Clayton of Cedar Rapids conducted services. Burial was in the Ashton Cemetery.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter handled arrangements.
Mr. Hanson died Friday, Feb. 3, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel; (two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Margaret) Van Ginkel of Des Moines, and Nola Hanson of State Cener; a brother, James Hanson of Mingo; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Kimberley of Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Mr. Hanson was a member of the Ashton Chapel Church.
The son of George and Edna Rippey Hanson, he was born Oct. 7, 1905 near Baxter and attended Mingo schools.
He was married to Ethel Ingram Oct. 18, 1948, at Pella.
