Joe Poorbaugh Died Last Night; Funeral Monday
Josiah S. Poorbaugh, 44, Nevada clothier, died at the U. S. Veterans hospital in Des Moines Friday evening at 8 o'clock, having been cared for in that institution for the past several months.
Funeral services will be held from St. Patrick's Catholic church at 9:30 a.m. Monday morning. Interment will be made at Colfax, Iowa. The remains will be at Lilly's Funeral home until time of service.
Mr. Poorbaugh, owner of the Poorbaugh clothing store in Nevada, passed away Friday evening after a lingering illness of some months at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was widely known in and about Nevada, having been born in Collins, Iowa. He was associated with the Mark's Manufacturing company in Des Moines for 18 years when he came to Nevada about three years ago. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic church, Nevada Rotary Club, Indian Creek Golf and Country Club, and the Nevada American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice Poorbaugh.
