Monday morning Miss Mary Coleman died at her home in the east part of town, after a long illness with consumption. While her recovery was despaired of, yet her death was unexpected at thos time as she felt quite well up to the last hour. The funeral take pace today (Wednesday) in the Catholic church, conducted by Rev. Father Nicholls and the remains are laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Nevada. Mary Coleman was born Oct. 14th 1859 in Ogle county, Ill. and moved with her parent to New Albany township 27 years ago. She made this her home, except for two years when teaching school in North Dakota, and returned to attend her mother's funeral about a year ago. She leaves to mourn her loss, her father, one brother, James, and four sisters, Mrs. John Hamen, Misses Kate, Ella and Lizzie Colement besides a host of sympathizing friends. She was a dutiful daughter, and loving sister, and will be greatly missed in the community but especially at the home. She was at Chicago for treatment, and afterward at Colorado with her sister Ella, but without relief.
