Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Marco Antonio Pineda Encalada, 58, of Ames, passed away May 5, 2019 at the Israel Family Hospice House.

Marco was born September 22, 1960 to Gloria Luz Encalada and Raul Pineda Paredes in Lima, Peru. Marco spent most of his childhood and adult life in Iowa, primarily in Ames. He was known for his strong work ethic and undying devotion to his favorite teams: The Iowa State Cyclones and Denver Broncos.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria; brothers: Gerrit (Lori) of Downers Grove, IL, Christopher (Alisha) of Phoenix, AZ; son, Marc (Allie) of Boone, IA; daughter, Mandee of Creighton, MO, and two grandsons.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Adams Funeral Home. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
