Byron M. Dean Died In Oregon Saturday
Byron M. Dean, 47, died in a hospital at Eugene, Oregon, Saturday afternoon, from the effects of a cancer, according to a message received by his brother, J. George Dean of East Lincoln Way, this city.
The body will be shipped back to Nevada for interment in the Dean family lost by the side of his parents and brother Harry, deceased. The time of arrival and funeral arrangements are as yet indefinite according to the brother, J. George Dean.
Byron M. Dean was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dean, born in Illinois, October 30, 1880 He came to Iowa with his parents as a boy, was raised to young manhood in Nevada, went west possibly 20 years ago and had lived in Oregon since, much of the time in Portland.
As stated his wife died less than two years ago and he leaves no children. Both parents are dead and his sole survivors are his brother J. George Dean of this city, sister Carolyn Dean of Virginia, Minn., one nephew and step son.
