Services Thursday In Ames for Former Nevada Resident (page 1)

Funeral services for Susan Knudson White will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Ames. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames until time of services.

Mrs. Knudson*, who died August 1 in Muskegon, Mich. after a long illness, was well known in Story County Educational Circles. She was graduated from Nevada High School in 1905 and Iowa State in 1910. She taught in Ames and in Nevada until she was married in 1915 to Warren G. White.

She was born July 22, 1888 in Odell, Ill., the daughter of Jacob and Berthat Knudson. The family moved to Nevada in 1893 where her father became a well known banker. Her husband was a civil engineer with the U.S. Bureau of Public Roads and she had at different times lived in Tennessee, Alabama, Nebraska and Missouri. She was a member of P.E.O., Chaper AA and active otherwise in church and community affairs.

Survivors are her husband, Warren G. White; a daughter, Mrs. John B. Richardson of Matrona Heights, Pa., and a son, Warren G. White, Jr. of Muskegon, Mich., all graduates of Iowa State, and six grand children. Preceding her in death were his parents and a brother, Clyde Knudson all of Nevada.
