Emily Christenson Dies At Age of 79

Mrs. Emily Christenson, 79, of Randall died at 4:30 a.m. today shortly after being admitted to the Story City Memorial Hospital. Death was very sudden even though Mrs. Christenson had been ill for the past two weeks.

Born in Randall, Mrs. Christenson had lived her entire live there with exception of seven years spent on a farm near Randall. Her husband died in 1920.

Services will be held Thursday, September 26, at 1:30 p.m. in the Christenson home in Randall, and at 2 p.m. at the Randall Elim Lutheran Church. Rev. Quentin Quambeck will officiate. Burial will be in Mamrelund cemetery east the Randall. Larson Funeral Home of Story City is in charge of arrangement. Body will lie in state there until 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Survivors include her one daughter, Myrtle; one brother, Edwin Benson both of Randall and several nieces and nephews.
