Funeral Services For Jennie S. Bobo Held On Wednesday

Funeral services for Jennie Smay Bobo whose death occurred in the Story County Hospital Monday, Nov. 1, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. E. P. Windman of Memorial Lutheran church officiating.

Many beautiful flowers surrounded the casket expressive of the respect and esteem in which the deceased was held.

Leslie Henderson was at the organ playing appropriate hymns at the opening and the closing of the service.

The casket bearers were Lloyd Child, Bob Comstock, Bob Karges, Weldon McKim, Bob Ogden and Howard Sandell.

She was laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Bobo was born Feburary 3, 1877, a daughter of Wm. and Fredrika Smay, at Smayville, northeast of Nevada at her death was 77 years, 8 months and 28 days. She was married to John W. Bobo Feb. 4, 1899 in Nevada.

She was a member of Memorial Lutheran church and very active in its various departments until ill health made that impossible.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary, Mrs. Dale Ireland of Corning and Miss Helen Bobo of Nevada, Story County director of Welfare, and by two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son in infancy, her parents and her brothers Warren and Grant Smay.
