John Sorenson
July 26, 1946 - January 19, 2019

John L. Sorenson, age 72, of Ames, died Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Accura Healthcare in Ames.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Ames, Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com.

John Louis Sorenson was born July 26, 1946, in Nevada, Iowa, the son of Louis and Sarah (Levin) Sorenson. He grew up and attended school in Nevada, and was an avid Iowa Cubs fan.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Bill Farrington. Most recently, John made his home at Accura of Ames.

Survivors include his sister, Mary (Steve) Nerness of Tama.
