FUNERAL OF MRS. WINCH.
Woman Killed at Cleveland Was Buried at Story City.
Story City, Oct. 1--Mrs. Sadie Erickson-Winch was born on the farm of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Erickson near Roland, July 15, 1883. Later she moved with her parents to this place, where she was for some years a prominent business woman. She attended the local schools, also the Jewell and St. Olaf colleges. She was married to Grover A. Winch in 1917 and has since made her home in Cleveland, Ohio. She passed away Sept. 18, five hours after falling from a horse she was riding, striking a hard surfaced road. She never regained consciousness. Funeral services were held at this place Sept. 22, at the Immanuel church Rev. Paulsrud and Rev. Heimarck officiating. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, her mother, three sisters and one brother, besides a host of relatives and friends. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Erickson of Kanawha, Mrs. Harold Marsten of Kansas City, Mo., Lou Winch of Buffalo, N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Abe Thompson of Kanawha, Misses Anna and Leva Johnson of Eagle Grove.
