Mrs. T. T. Wicks Funeral Services Held At S. C.

Funeral services for Mrs. T. T. Wicks were held in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City on Monday, October 16 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harold T. Masted officiated.

Mrs. Charles Thorsbakken sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," and "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Organist was Miss Louise Olson. Interment was made in the Story City Municipal cemetery.

Pall bearers were Harry K. Henderson, Gaylord, Henryson, Arnold T. Erickson, Arthur Carpenter, Hallie Swenson and Henry Thorsbakken.

Life Sketch

Mrs. Hannah Wicks was born at Norway, Ill. on Feburary 11, 1862. Her parents were Hadle and Tone Odson.

She came with her parents to Hamilton County, iowa in the year 1885 where they settle on a farm four miles northeast of Randall. She was confirmed in Elim Lutheran Church at Randall.

In March, 1903 she was united in marriage to Thomas T. Wicks, who died in 1944. The Wicks family farmed northeast of Story City until 1936, when Mr. and Mrs. Wicks retired from the farm and moved to Story City where they purchased a home.

Mrs. Wicks died at her home on Friday morning, October 13 at the age of 79 years.

Four children survive: Mrs. William (Beulah) S. Starkey, Wallace, Herman and Raymond Wicks, all of Story City; two grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Odson of Clark, South Dakota; Cornelius Odson of Frost, Minnesota and LeRoy Odson of Minneapolis, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
