SUDDEN DEATH AT STORY CITY

JOHN TUNGSVIG DROPPED DEAD WHILE LEAVING FUNERAL OF FRIEND

Special to the Journal.
Story City, March 4--John Tungsvig, 66, well known bachelor farmer of northwest of this place died very suddenly Thursday afternoon at 3:30, while leaving the church where he had attended the funeral of his longtime friend, Arthur Gandrup.

Heart trouble was the cause of the sudden and unexpected death of Mr. Tungesvig. He had just stepped out of the church and was standing on the walk as the people were passing out, when he suddenly toppled over and appeared to have died instantly.

Mr. Tungsvig, although he spells his name differently, is a brother of Mayor Martin Townswick of Story City and Lewis Townswick of Roland. He also leaves brothers Tom Townswick of Tyler, Minn., and Oley Townswick of Madison, S. D., as well as one sister, Mrs. Theodore P. Hermanson of Tyler, Minn.

The deceased was a native of Norway, Europe, where he was born October 7, 1865. He came with his people to America when a lad of 8 years and has lived in the Story City neighborhood nearly his entire life.
