Funeral Services for Age Story Woman
Story City, Oct. 17--Funeral services for Mrs. Stena Paulson were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bethel church, Rev. Paulsrud officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery at Randall. Mrs. Paulson's six grandsons were pall bearers.
Mrs. Paulson was born March 19, 1841 in Denmark, being past 87 years old at the time of her death. In 1863 she was married to Nels Paulson. And in 1879 Mr. and Mrs. Paulson and seven children came to this country and settled on a farm near Jewell, where the family lived for twenty years. Mr. Paulson did seven years after they came to this country leaving his wife and ten children. Twenty-eight years ago Mrs. Paulson moved to Story City, where she made her home until her death.
Two children preceded her in death. They were Mrs. Elsie Larson and Chris Paulson. The children left to mourn the death of their mother are: Mrs. Frank Reuillard of Marysville, Mo., Mrs. D. E. Wayman of Webster City, Nels, John, Peter and Henry Paulson, Mrs. Hans Nelson and Neah Paulson, all of this place.
