Obituary

CARL ELOF OLSON

Funeral services for Carl Elof Olson, 79, Story City were held at St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 31 at 1:30. Pastor Rolfe S. Johnstad officiated, assisted by Pastor Perry V. Sampson. Music was provided by Pastor Johnstad. Mrs. Joel Jacobson was organist.

Carl Elof Olson was born March 12, 1896 on a farm southwest of Garden City to parents Charles and Julia Olson.

On May 29, 1929 he was united in marriage to Edith Nelson. Upon retiring from farming, the couple moved to Story City. He passed away at Story City Memorial Hospital Friday night, Jan. 27.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Pall bearers were Martin Chentland, Phillip Ellingson, Otis Quam, Harris Hill, Harold Frandson and George Mackey.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, Story City. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
