MRS. ANDREW MATHEASON
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Matheason were held Monday, Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Grace United Methodist Church, Story City. Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiated.
Mrs. Dorrell Doolittle, organist, accompanied Mrs. Tim Yantis, who sang "Amazing Grace" and "Lord's Prayer."
Pallbearers were Robert Mathiason, Clarence Martin, James Speck, Arthur Matheason, Charles Matheason and Emery Matheason. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
Emma Amelia Frankfurth Matheason, the daughter of Frank and Sophia Frankfurth was born August 12, 1896 in North Dakota.
On December 10, 1917, she was united in marriage to Andrew Matheason.
Mrs. Matheason, who had resided at Story City Bethany Manor the past few years, passed away at North Grand Care Center in Ames Friday afternoon, Oct. 19 at the age of 77 years, 2 months and seven days.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Raymond Matheason of Fairmont, Minn., Ervin Matheason of Graettinger, and Mrs. Fritz (Adeline) Vogtlin of Ames; 15 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Mrs. Matheason's husband Andrew passed away February 13, 1964.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and fourteen brothers and sisters.
