Pioneer Station Agent Died Today at Cambridge

Cambridge, July 5--Fred Warner, 72, pioneer Milwaukee station agent here, died at his home at 1 a.m. today, after a 3 months illness.

Mr. Warner, who was born at Oxford Mills, Iowa, October 15, 1867, had worked for the Milwaukee here for 53 years when he retired on pension after the start of the last illness.

Forty five years of that time he had served as station agent and was one of the oldest employees on this division of the Milwaukee.

He leaves besides his widow Minnie Warner, sons Clyde of Louisville, Kentucky, Paul of Sioux City, Bert of Nevada and Harold of Cedar Rapids; daughters Mrs. Doris Deaton of Des Moines, Helen of Des Moines, Wilma Mason of Slater and Ada at home and 14 grandchildren. Two sons, Clare and Homer preceded the father in death.

Mr. Warner was a member of the Cambridge Masonic lodge and O. E. S. and of the Methodist church.

Funeral rites will be Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the home, with a former pastor Rev. Shepherd of Ankeny in charge, assisted by Rev. Perkins of Cambridge. Burial will be in the Cambridge cemetery with the committal service by the Masonic lodge.
