Mrs. Walter Ludwig Was Laid to Rest In Nevada Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Ludwig, 55, wife of Walter Ludwig of Boulder, Colo., who passed away March 16 at the Community hospital in Boulder, were held Friday afternoon at the Johnson Grove Methodist church with Harry Ogden, the pastor, officiating.

A duet "The Old Rugged Cross" was sung by Mrs. Walter Dale and Harry Ogden and the solo "Some Day He'll Make it Plain" was sung at the close of service. The poem, "The Watcher" was read during the service.

The pall bearers were Charles Thomas, Walter Rasmusson, Lester Fincham, Paul Comfort, Wm. Mehlow and Robert Burnett.

Committal was in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Beth Ludwig, wife of Walter Ludwig of Boulder, Colo., and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Mead, longtime residents of the Johnson Grove community, was born August 3, 1893, and passed away March 16 at the Community hospital in Boulder.

She spent the most of her girlhood near Johnson Grove except four years spent in Howard county where she was married, February 17 1915, to Walter Ludwig.

Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig farmed in Story county until 1921 when they moved to Boulder, Colo., because of ill health.

Mrs. Ludwig leaves to mourn her passing her husband and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Holcomb and two nieces and one nephew in Indianola. Ruth was at her bedside.

She was a member of the Methodist church from girlhood. She was a kind and loving wife and leaves a host of friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral service was held at the Howe Mortuary in Boulder March 17 with the Rev. Bainbridge officiating.
