Funeral Services Thursday Afternoon for Mrs. M. Lloyd

Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon for Mrs. M. Lloyd, 85, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Berrett near Shipley Tuesday. The service was at the Bishop Funeral home with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Mrs. Hathaway was at the piano and there were two songs by Mrs. Freel and Mrs. Jacobs. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Lloyd was born at Claverley, Shropshire, England July 12, 1852 and there she grew to womanhood and as married. Her husband preceded her in death many years ago and she with her youngest son Arthur Lloyd came to America in 1920. Since coming to this country she had made her home the most of the time with the daughter Mrs. John Berrett.

She leaves to mourn her death one daughter and two sons in England, a daughter, Mrs. John Berrett of near Shipley, sons Walter of Arkansas, Fred and Arthur of near Nevada and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her husband and three children preceded her in death. One son was killed in the World war while two of the children died in infancy.

Mrs. Lloyd had been a good and faithful mother, a kind friend and was loved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Lloyd as a girl became a member of the Episcopal Church of England and remained true to her faith throughout her long life she passed away on September 14 at the age of 85 years, two months and one day.
