August Helregel Funeral Services Held At Story C.

Funeral services for August Helregel were conducted from St. Petri Lutheran Church Chapel, Story City at 1:30 p. m. on Thursday, Jan. 11 with the Rev. George C. Strum officiating.

"Jesus Lover of May Soul" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" was sung by Mrs. Robert Hermanson at the service with Mrs. Alfred Jacobson organist.

Life Sketch

August (Gus) Helregel, the son of Charles and Magdalen Helregel, was born on Aug. 12, 1899 at Ste. Marie, Ill. and died on Jan. 2 at the Holland Van Sickle farm when he suffered a heart attack.

Gus came to Iowa in 1927 and worked in this vicinity; and in 1936 to the Holland VanSickle farm where he was employed and made his home until his death. He is survived by four sisters and four brothers, all in Illinois. His parents preceded him in death.

Interment was made in the Story City Municipal cemetery. Pallbearers were Sylvan Skeie, Homer Brown, Arnold Ericson, Melbourne Henderson, Leonard Johnson and Earl Christian.
