Ex-Nevadan dead in Tennessee accident
Dick Harmon, a former Nevadan, has been killed in a car accident near Portland, Tenn.
Word was received in Nevada Tuesday evening that Harmon had perished in a car crash about 6 p.m. First information was that Mr. and Mrs. Harmon, along with former Nevadans Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sager, were out with a local doctor and his wife. The group was en route to dinner to celebrate the Sager's anniversary.
Mrs. Harmon was reportedly treated and released. Sager is hospitalized and will have surgery on his knee today. Mrs. Sager is hospitalized with a collapsed lung. The doctor, who is not known here, is reportedly in serious condition.
Harmon, who is about 43 years old, worked for Buck Construction when he lived in Nevada. His wife, Marvella, ran a drapery shop.
Present information is that the body will be flown back to Nevada to the Ryan Funeral Home where service are pending. A memorial fund has been established.
Harmon's son, Allen, and wife flew from Nevada to Tennessee today to be with his mother.

Services for former Nevadan Dick Harmon, killed in an auto accident in Portland, Tenn. Tuesday evening, will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nevada at 2 p.m. Sunday.
