Troy J. Yearous
November 22, 1988 - November 9, 2018

Troy Yearous, 29, of Hubbard and formerly of Zearing, passed away on November 9, 2018 at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg, Iowa. His funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 with Pastor Kathy Sandmann officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada, Iowa.

Troy was born in Ames, Iowa on November 22, 1988 to Jerald Yearous and Michele (Llewellyn) Yearous. His parents were a group of 5 couples that started the Top-O-Hollow Daycare in Ames for special needs children to intergrade with kids at daycare. Later this organization went on to become Child Serve. At the age of 8 Troy moved to Johnston and lived at Child Serve until he was 17. On weekends he enjoyed going home to spend time with his family. In 2011 in moved to the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard. Troy enjoyed smiling at the cute ladies and flirting with the staff there. He will be remembered for the sparkle in his eyes. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Hubbard Care Center for taking such good care of Troy.

Troy is survived by his father Jerald Yearous; mother Michele (Mark) Thomas; brothers Braden Thomas, Bradley Thomas, and Jacob Yearous; sisters Courtney (David) Adams; step-sister Corrie Thomas; grandparents Jack (Jean) Yearous and Jim Llewellyn; aunts Lesa Hagar and Joni Woollums; uncle Jamie (Amy) Llewellyn; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandma Mary Riley, brother Jamison Yearous, aunt Julie Schwalbe, and uncle Tom Hagar.
