Chid Run Over and Fatally Injured Today
A little caughter, age about 18 months, of Mr. and Mrs. Trulin Corbin of 4 miles north of Colo, was fatally injured this morning when run over by an automobile.
Funeral rites will be held at the Brethren church in Fernald Thursday afternoon at 2:30 and interment will be in a nearby cemetery.
John Peterson, Nevada rural letter carrier, had made his stop at the Corbin home and the mother and other children had been at the mail box looking after the mailing of a package.
Unknown to either the mother or Mr. Peterson, the child had toddled in front of the car and as it started up was knocked over and the left rear wheel passed over the little one.
The child was picked up and hurried to the house and physician summoned bu the child was dead shortly after the accident.
Neither the mother nor Mr. Peterson notice the position of the child when the car was started and the driver is greatly grieved over the deplorable, yet unavoidable fatal accident.
Mr. Corbin is an employ of C. B. New who lives and works the farm.
