Mrs. T. A. Johnson Dies at Her Home in Story City Wednesday
Mrs. Thomas A. Johnson, 72, Story City, died suddenly at 4 p.m. Wednesday of a heart attack. Her home was at 4013 Hillcrest, Story City.
She was born March 12, 1894 in Story City, Anna Matilda Larson. On October 21, 1915 she was married to Thomas A. Johnson and they recently observed their 51st Anniversary. They farmed in Stanhope until 1948 when they moved to Story City.
Surviving Mrs. Johnson are her husband, T. A. Johnson, a son, Ernest L. Johnson of Jewell, and a daughter (Ovella) Mrs. Arlin Anderson of Story City; eight grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Theo. A. Larson, Ingram G. Larson and Winfred M. all of Story City and Lester of New Kensington, Pa. Her two sisters are Miss Ruth Larson of Des Moines and Mrs. (Gladys) Bervin Johnson, Story City.
Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral arrangements have been made for Saturday at 2 p.m. in the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. Rhuben O. Aga officiating. Burial will be in the Story City municipal cemetery.
Friends may call at the Soderstrum Funeral Home until noon Saturday.
