Albert Jackson Dies After Brief Illness, Funeral on Wednesday

Story City, Nov. 29--Albert Jackson, 81, for twenty years a resident of Story City, died at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames Saturday evening at 8:20, following a stroke earlier in the week. He had been taken to the hospital on Tuesday.

Funeral rites will be held Wednesday, with prayer at the home at 1:30 and the funeral service at St. Petri church at 2 o'clock with Rev. S. T. Nelson in charge. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery.

The Jackson family had moved from a farm near Stratford and located in Story City about 20 years ago.

He leaves besides his wife, nine children. The children are Orlando Jackson of Mason City; Basil Jackson of Blue Earth, Minn.; Mrs. S. H. Leland of Story City; Staff Sgt., Em Lee Jackson of Camp Gordon, Johnston, Florida; Mrs. Ralph Hicks of Cuthbank, Mon., Arnie Jackson of Stanhope; Birtie Jackson of Story City and Mrs. T. Thompson of Thompson, Iowa.

He also leaves brothers Cyrus of Seneca, Ill., and Frank of Bertha, Okla., and sisters Mrs. Chris Williams of Stratford, Mrs. Lillie Mossman of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. John Williams of Story City.
