FUNERAL SERVICE HELD MARCH 18 FOR JEANETTE CARROLL

Funeral services for Jeanette Younker (Mrs. Wendell) Carroll 50 were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 18 at Ryan Funeral Home, Mrs. Carroll died in Washington, D.C. at 11:12 p.m. Mar. 13.

Pall bearers were Glen Davis, Robert Dana, Jake Donnellan, Glover Ambrose, Gilbert Henry and Merton Coover. Rev. Frank Hladky had charge of the service and Mrs. Edith Hale was the organ.

Flowers were cared for by Margaret Jane Crisp, Phyllis Ambrose and Louise Dana. Burial was at the Nevada Cemetery.

Mrs. Carroll spent a year in Nevada in '53 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Younker while her husband was stationed in Japan. In '54 she was able to accompany him to Egypt; however following a two year stay she was evacuated along with other wives and families of service men.

She returned to Nevada to spend the remainder of the time. Her husband retired from the Navy and is now a Federal Investigator for the City of Washington D.C.

Those from a distance here for the funeral were from Marshalltown, Des Moines and Washington D.C.
