OBITUARY OF MRS. BYE
Was Native of Chicago and 39 Years of Age.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Andrew C. Bye were gheld at held at the Memorial Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at half after two o'clock, the sermon being preached by Dr. C. N. Swihart pastor and the music was furnished by the church choir. Interment was in the Nevada cemetery.
The death of Mrs. Bye, coming as it did following the birth of a baby boy a few hours previous, and leaving as she does a husband and eight children, is an exceptionally sad one and there was a large concourse of people out who paid their final tribute to the dead and also tender their sympathy and the aged mother, who came here to the bereaved husband, the children from her home at Pequot, Minn., to attend the funeral services.
Mrs. Bye's maiden name was Laurina Isabelle Dickson and she was born in Chicago, July 11, 1882 and she died at Iowa sanitarium in Nevada on August 4, 1921, making her a few days over 39 years at the time of her death.
She moved from Chicago when a small girl, her people settling at Lake Zurich, Ill., where she grew to young womanhood. She s one of a family of eight children, there being five sons and three daughters. All of these, besides the mother are still living.
She was united in marriage to Andrew C. Bye September 23, 1902 and their home had been in Nevada continuously since. Eight children are left to mourn the death of the mother, they being Mable, Carl, Blanche, John, Dorothy, Isabel, Margaret and Zane Francis; the latter having been born but a few hours before the death messenger called the mother.
The many friends of the family in the city will extend their most heartfelt sympathy to Mr. By and his little ones in their hours of great sorrow.
