Boys Funeral Was Held On Sunday
Funeral services for Benjamin Boys, 77, who died at his home here Thursday, were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30, after which interment was in the Nevada cemetery.
Benjamin Allen Boys, son of James and Clarasa Boys, was born in Clermont county, Ohio, April 13, 1850, and died in his home in Nevada, Iowa, March 22, 1928, at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 9 days.
He was married to Miss Emma Metzger February 2, 1876, and to this union was born one daughter Stella, who is now Mrs. Joe Donaldson of Nevada. The family moved to Champaign county, Illinois, and the wife and mother of his daughter died there in 1904.
He was again married May, 23, 1906, the bride being Mrs. Mary Ann Nuttall, who remained his faithful and loyal wife until the end came.
Some twenty years ago the family moved to Nevada, Iowa, where they have since made their home.
Mr. Boys joined the Methodist church at Clover, Ill., when a young man and his membership continued in that church until the time of his death. He was ever patient in suffering, kind, thoughtful of others, and devoted to his home, his loved ones, and his friends.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his daughter, Mrs. Joe Donaldson and many other old friends, and neighbors, who will miss his kindly smile and words of wisdom.
