Funeral Services For Kenneth P. Banks Held Tuesday P. M.
Funeral services for Kenneth P. Banks, 50, whose sudden death occurred at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sept. 5, were largely attended at the Dixon Funeral Home in Nevada, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. James D. Ransom of the Nevada Central Presbyterian church officiating.
The casket was surrounded by a great many beautiful floral offerings which were mute testimony of the sympathy felt for the bereaved relatives in the death of the beloved husband, son and brother.
Organ music was played at the beginning and close of the service.
The casket bearers were Theron Case, O. R. Solem, Don Follett, Robert Karges, George Hansen, and Byton Dickey.
Members of the Masonic lodge attended the service in a body.
Burial was in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery with graveside services being conducted by Masonic Lodge No. 99 A. F. & A. M. of which he was a member.

Obituary
Kenneth Proctor Banks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay K. Banks was born in Nevada, Iowa, February 21, 1903, and died September 4, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 50 years, six months and fourteen days.
When a small child he was baptized in the Central Presbyterian church in Nevada.
He graduated from the Nevada high school in 1921 and worked in the Peoples Savings Bank for a few years, and later for the Reuben H. Donnelley Corporation.
In 1993 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Decker of Boone, Iowa.
For the last ten years he had been department manager for the R. L. Polk Company of Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was a member of the Masonic lodge in Nevada, Iowa. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Jay K. Banks, also his brother Paul and wife Elizabeth, other relatives and wide circle of friends both in Nevada and Cincinnati.
