Funeral Services Will Be Thursday For Mrs. Atkinson
Funeral services for Mrs. Donald (Maxine) Atkinson, R 2, Nevada, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 5, in Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Frank P. Hladky as officiating minister. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. The body will lie in state at Ryan Funeral Home until noon on the day of service. A Memorial Fund has been established.
Mrs. Atkinson, 35, die Monday morning, the victim of electrocution, when a radio fell into the bathtub. She was found dead in the bathtub of her rural Nevada home when her husband, a member of the Nevada police force, returned for lunch.
Born April 7, 1929, at Radcliffe, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Olson. On September 4, 1948, she was united in Marriage to Donald Atkinson at Nashua, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Don; one son, Danny; four daughters, Patty, Connie, Kav and Joan; one brother, Milford Olson of Story City; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Oskvig of Alden, Mrs. Howard Quam of Story city and Mrs. Jerry Stockdale of Ames, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Olson of Radcliffe.
