NEWS OF ZEARING

Alfred Anderson was born Oct. 1, 1888*, and died Sept. 20, 1926, at 9 p. m. He was born at Albert Lea, Minn. His father, Chris Anderson, was born in Norway and has passed on. His mother, Mary Olson, was also born in Norway and died and that country. Mr. Anderson was a single man and leaves two sisters, Mrs. Ed Spurlig of Zearing, Iowa, and Elizabeth Anderson of Minnesota. An aunt, Maggie Christianson, of Minnesota, an uncle Art Olson who also lves in Minnesota, and one nephew Everett Anderson and four nieces, Nellie, Minnie, Ellen and Lottie Spurling of near Zearing, Iowa. he was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church of Blooming Prairie, Minn. He was injured in an automobile accident Sept. 17, 1926, at 4:30 p. m., near the John Carmody home on the Jefferson highway and died from the injuries received. He had lived at the Ed Spurling home and done farm work 14 years. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Evangelical church here, services by Rev. R. H. Aurand. The body was brought from Nevada by Mr. Morfoot, burial being made in the Zearing cemetery.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to his death record and his grave stone, Alfred Anderson was born 1 October 1878.
