J.H. Galbreath Died Today In Western Home

J. H. Galbreath Sr. died at Ontario, Calif., at an early hour today, according to word reaching relative here today.

Mr. Galbreath, for many years a resident of Story county in and around McCallsburg, had been living in California for about three years and according to the latest word from both him and his wife, he had been in his usual health. There are no particulars regarding the cause of death or the probable funeral or burial arrangements.

Mr. Galbreatg is grandfather of Virgil Galbreath of this city and was well-known here for many years. During the recent months Mr. and Mrs. Galbreath had been making their home with their daughter Mrs. Lifter*, at Ontario.

According to word received at the Virgil Galbreath home in this city today Mr. Galbreath died at about 2:30 this morning from a stroke of apoplexy.

Mr. Galbreath was about 76 years of age.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: James H. Galbreath's daughter was Florence O. Galbreath who married (1) James LeRoy Roe on 8 October 1902 in Zearing, Story County, Iowa and (2) Earl S. Lister (not Lifter as stated.)
