Birtle Jackson

Birtle Jackson, 79, of Story City died Friday, February 23 at 11:30 p.m. at Story City Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 6, 1899 at Stanhope, the son of Albert and Ora Jackson. He was a veteran of World War I.

On March 12, 1924, he married Viola Thompson.

Jackson is survived by his wife, Viola; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Leland, Story City, and Mrs. Blanche Thompson, Thompson, Iowa, and two brothers, Jim Jackson, Story City, and Lee Jackson, Clear Lake, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Services were held this, Monday, afternoon at St. Petrie Lutheran Church in Story City, with the Rev. Rolfe Johnstad officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery, with Soderstrum-Larson funeral home in charge of arrangements.
