Sean Patrick McKernan Nov. 5, 1962 — Aug. 1, 2018

Sean Patrick McKernan, 55, from Rowlett, Texas, died peacefully, Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, at Lake Pointe Hospital in Rowlett, Texas, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born November 5th, 1962 in Ames, Iowa, the son of the late John Faber McKernan and Elizabeth Ann (Green) McKernan. He was one of 18 children. On October 3rd, 2003 he married Sandra Lee (Epperson) McKernan. They had one daughter, Makenzie Shea McKernan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Matthew, Michael and Jason. He is survived by Gregory, wife Michelle, Karen, Cynthia Love, Brian, Martha Arneson, husband Dennis, Pamela Hollingsworth, husband James, Kimberly Hoerner, husband Michael, Garth, Montgomery, Devon Dufaux, Jennifer Nwoke, Katrina Kasirye, Valerie and Rachel Koehler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sean Patrick loved his wife and daughter and took great pride in his family. He never missed an opportunity to tell people what a large family he was from. He cherished memories of times spent with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his sparkling eyes, bright smile, caring spirit and love for life. He exuded charisma and charm and never met a stranger. His desire to help people will carry on as his wish was fulfilled through the gift of donating his body to science.

A celebration of life will be held on August 18th at the house he made a home. Makenzie was the light of his life. He was so proud of the young lady she is becoming. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Makenzie's college fund. Details for location and time of celebration or donations are available by calling 214-316-9814.
