DIED.

November 23, Effa Lincoln, daughter of Joshua B. and Elizabeth Grove, of Franklin Township, in this county, aged four years and six months.

[The death of this little girl was occasioned by a scald. In her childish play she took spout of the tea kettle, simmering on her mother's stove, within her mouth, sucking and inhaling the hot water and steam in sufficient quantities to severely scald her throat and lungs, causing her death in 42 hours. She was a bright little child as we noticed her playing in the pleasant groves surrounding her father's house but a few weeks since, and her death in this agonizing form is a deep blow to her parents.--ED.]
