Committal services for the late Mrs. Ann Collins of Waverly, sho for thirty-seven years had been a resident of Story county, were held in Nevada Thursday afternoon.
The funeral cortege, accompanying the remains to Nevada, was met at St. Patrick's cemetery by a large number of Story county friends, many of whom were from Colo where the deceased had lived from 1885 to 1922 when she moved to Nevada.
During the brief, but impressive interment service, the casket was opened that the many old time friends might view the remains.
The funeral services had been held in the Waverly Catholic church at 9:30. In addition to a large number of visiting clergy, the Reverend Arch-Bishop J. J. Beckman of Dubuque and Bishop Nohlman of Davenport were in attendance at the services.
The funeral cortege, made up of a dozen or more cars, left Waverly at 12:30, arriving here about 3:30. Burial was by the side of the husband, the late John Collins, who died at his home on Lincoln avenue in Nevada on June 2, 1922.

She is survived by her only son, Rev. T. R. Collins of Waverly and a daughter, Sister Mary Joesphita, who is Superior at St. Patrick's school in Cedar Falls. An elder daughter, Sister Mary Girolamo, died in Dubuque in 1901.
