MRS. H. N. ROGERS DIED IN MONTANA
HAD LEFT STORY COUNTY PROBABLY ABOUT FORTY YEARS AGO
Mrs. Anola Rogers, widow of the late Harvey N. Rogers, long time resident of the McCallsburg neighborhood, died at Lewiston, Montana, Dec. 14, according to word received by her old time friend, Mrs. Emma Harris of 121 K Avenue, Nevada.
The Rogers family lived in the McCallsburg neighborhood for a number of years, leaving there probably about 1891, for Montana. During their residence in Story county Mr. Rogers was a building contractor. Among the houses that he built were the M. C. Allen home and the William Lockridge homes in Nevada and the John P. Hesson home in McCallsburg.
Going west they located on a ranch three miles east of Lewiston where they lived until 1919, when they moved into Lewiston, where the family home was since continued.
The husband died a number of years ago and two of the sons died during the flu epidemic in that country in 1918. She leaves her son, C. A. Rogers and family and little grand daughter, Rena Rogers.
Funeral and interment was at Lewiston on December 16, under the ritualistic ceremonies of the O. E. S.
