BURNS PROVE FATAL TO MALLORY CHILD

CHILD SERIOUSLY BURNED WHEN HOME DAMAGED BY FIRE

Dorothy Mallory*, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Mallory of Ames, who with her mother was very seriously burned when the home was destroyed by fire on Nov. 24th, passed away at three o'clock this morning.

Funeral services will be held from the Bishop Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock with burial in the Nevada cemetery.

The mother who was burned badly at the same time is getting along nicely at this time. The little girl was the youngest of five children in the Mallory family.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The Journal reported the name of deceased child incorrectly. The child who died was Lois Elaine Mallory. Dorothy Mallory was her older sister born 1927 who died in 2013.
