BELLE PLAINE MAN DIED MONDAY
FRANK W. PRILL WAS VICTIM OF CANCER AFTER LONG SUFFERING
F. W. Prill, father of Mrs. P. R. Halleland of 724 Sixth street, Nevada, died at his home at Belle Plaine, Monday afternoon at 5:10, from the effects of a cancer from which he had been sufferer for many months.
Mr. Prill, longtime bridge foreman on the Northwestern, was taken ill about two years ago and submitted to an operation for the removal of a growth. He apparently made a remarkable recovery, became quite himself again and for some months during the summer was able to resume his work.
He has been failing again, for several months, however, and his death has been expected for some weeks.
Mr. Prill, who has became acquainted with many Nevada people during his visits at the home of his daughter here, leaves besides his wife, a son Cleon Prill at home, one daughter in Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Halleland of Nevada.
Mrs. Halleland had spend much of her time at the bedside of her father for past several weeks, but was at her home her yesterday when a message reached here that it was thought the end was very near. The father passed away about the time that Mr. and Mrs. Halleland left for Belle Plaine.
The funeral of Mr. Prill will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at Belle Plaine, and interment will be at Irving, Iowa.
