MR. AND MRS. FAY WOOD MET DEATH IN GRADE CROSSING CRASH

Mr. and Mrs. Fay Wood, former Story county residents, were killed in a motor car crash with a train on a grade crossing in California, the latter part of the week, according to word reaching relatives in the Cambridge neighborhood.

Their three children, who were with them at the time of fatal accident, were injured and are in a hospital.

The Wood family have lived in California for about two years, going there from Illinois where they had lived a number of years after leaving Story county.

The bodies will be brought east and the funeral and interment will be a Bloomington, Illinois.

The wife lived in this county as a girl, being Mildred, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Glasgow of the Cambridge neighborhood. At the time of their marriage Mr. Wood worked on the Fred Cook farm south of Cambridge. They farmed in the neighborhood for two years then left for Illinois.

When word reached Story county of the fatality, Mr. and Mrs. Glasgow, parents of Mrs. Wood, were motoring through northern Iowa and some time was spent locating them.

Mrs. Wood had two nieces in the county, they being Miss Dorothy Glasgow and Mrs. Lee Bates bot of southwest of Nevada.
