FORMER NEVADA WOMAN IS DEAD
MRS. EMMA FENTON PASSED AWAY AT HOME IN MINNESOTA.
Mrs. Emma Fenton, former Story county woman, died at her home at Fairmont, Minn., Tuesday and the funeral will be held at Swea City, Iowa, Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, according to word reaching relatives in Nevada.
Mrs. Emma Fenton, whose maiden name was Emma Kelley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kelley of Richland township is the widow of Lash Fenton*, who died a number of years ago.
She leaves two sons, Charles and Clarence Fenton, besides three sisters, two brothers and other relatives. The sisters are Mrs. William Smay of Nevada, Mrs. J. V. Fry of Nevada, Mrs. Ida Kilngensmith* of Washington and the brothers are Nate Kelley of Sherburn, Minn., and Jacob Kelley of Swea City.
Mrs. William Smay, Mrs. and Mrs. John V. Fry, Ross Fry and Mrs. James Bryant left at noon today for Swea City to attend the funeral and interment.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Emily Isabelle "Emma" Kelley married Elisha A. Fenton on 28 April 1877 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa.
Emily's sister, Rhoda Kelley (not Ida), married Isaiah Klingensmith, not Kilngensmith as stated. Ida Kelley was the wife of John Valentine Fry listed as "Mrs. J. V. Fry."
