AMOND A. ENGE DEAD AT ROLAND

HAD LIVED IN STORY COUNTY FOR 43 YEARS--FUNERAL ON FRIDAY

Special to the Journal.
Roland, Oct. 8.--Amond A. Enge, 64, for over 43 years a resident of Story county and the most of the time of Roland, died at his home here Tuesday afternoon at 3:00, from obstruction of the bowels. He had been ill since Sunday.

The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon. There will be a brief service at the home at 1:30, followed by the funeral at Salem church, by Rev. Holen, at 2:00. Interment will be at the Roland cemetery.

Mr. Enge, a native of Norway, Europe, came to America and located at Roland 43 years ago. He was a blacksmith by trade and worked at that trade for number of years.

He was united in marriage in 1895. One son, Albert Enge, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Enge. The only son was a soldier in the world war and died about 4 years ago in a national hospital.

The family home was in Roland until about 1914 when they moved onto a farm near Shipley where they lived for 11 years, after which they returned to Roland and this has been their home since.

Mr. Enge leaves besides his wife in Roland, three brothers. They are Osmond Enge of Warren, Minn., Toralf Enge of Etne, Norway, Europe, and Ben L. Enge of Roland.
