IRVIN JOHNSON DIED EARLY TODAY
POPULAR YOUNG FARMER OF NEAR STORY CITY CALLED BY DEATH

Story City, Aug. 23--Irvin Johnson, 21, died at 5:00 this morning at the Story City Hospital, from complication resulting from an operation for appendicitis last fall.He was taken to the hospital a week ago Tuesday and submitted to an operation for adhesions and to a second operation Wednesday of this week.
Mr. Johnson, popular young farmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam A. Johnson, lived on a farm south of Story City. He was united in marriage this spring to Miss Bernice Holmes of the Gilbert neighborhood.
He leaves besides his bride of a few months and his parents; six brothers and two sisters. Of the brothers Carl and Milford live in Story City, while Sandford, Simon, Lawrence and Arthur are at home, as are the sisters Leonora and Mabel.
While definite arrangements have not bee made for the funeral at noon today, it is probable that the service will be held at the home on Monday.
