MILFORD PIONEER CALLED BY DEATH

W. B. FREY DIED AT HOME OF GRANDSON -- INTERMENT IN NEVADA CEMETERY

William B. Frey, 87, died at the home of his grandson Frank Frey, in Milford township, Sunday evening. Death was due to infirmities incident to old age.

The funeral will be held at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon and interment in the Nevada cemetery by the side of his wife, who died four years ago.

Mr. Frey was a native of Warren county, Ohio, where he was born December 4, 1842. Leaving Ohio the family settled first in Illinois where they lived until 1895, when they came out to Iowa and located on a farm in west Milford township and he has been a resident of this county for thirty-five years.

After leaving the farm, Mr. and Mrs. Frey established their home in Ames and the family home was at 712 Duff avenue until the death of the wife, after which it was closed and he has been living with his grandson on the old homestead in Milford.

He leaves one son, S. B. Frey of Des Moines, a grandson, Frank Frey of Milford township and a granddaughter, Mrs. Howard Vail of near Sioux Rapids.

Mr. Frey was for some years one of the prominent farmers of that part of the county, was a man of fine characteristics and was well and favorably known.
