Mrs. A. English, 76, died at her home 1229 Eighth street at 9:00 a. m. today, after a lingering illness of complications due to her advanced years.

Mrs. English had been failing for the past year and confined to her home and part of the time to her bed for the past month or more. She grew worse during the past few days and death came peacefully this morning, the cause being a brain embolus.

Disposing of that business they lived in retirement until his death seven years ago.

She leaves an only daughter, Miss Olive English, who had always lived at home and whose interests had been closely allied with those of the mother.

She was a wonderful woman warmly loved and admired by all who knew her and she will be sincerely mourned by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, both here and in Union and other places where she had lived.
